Bochum almost equalised in the 23rd minute when Moritz Brochinski’s right-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area was slightly deflected and just wide of the far post.
In the 26th minute, the Bavarians extended their lead to 2-0 from another set piece. Joshua Kimmich took a free kick in the corner of the right penalty area, and Jamal Musiala headed the ball into the goal from close range.

In the second half, in the 57th minute, Bayern extended their lead to 3-0 when Jamal Musiala dribbled through the middle before passing into the penalty area for Harry Kane to tap and shoot with his left foot into the net.
In the 65th minute, the score became 4-0 when Bochum’s defender failed to clear the ball and kicked it to Leroy Sane, who cut from the right wing and curled the ball into the goal with his left foot.
Bayern made it 5-0 in the 71st minute when Kingsley Coman got the ball on the left and cut inside to fire a right-footed shot from just outside the box that went just under the bar.
